I have worked as a Painter, Graphic Designer and Illustrator for the past 15 years. The
commercial work has taken over my life, but I have always managed to dedicate time to my
painting. I have been fortunate enough to design stamps for the Queen (80th Birthday), but
the design work has taken over my life. In July 2010 I decided to wind down the commercial
work, spending the last 6 months finishing major projects - in January 2011 I finally stopped
the commercial work and have now dedicated my time to persuing painting full-time.
I have a one man exhibition in Greenwich in June, but I am keen to build a reputation
locally. Sussex is my birthplace and provides me with a subject matter that I love. I hope to
establish a relationship with a gallery to sell paintings of the local area.
I follow a tradition of plein-air painting working directly from life in 2 - 3 hour
sessions, if a subject requires it I make colour studies and drawings from which I make larger
canvases in the sudio. I also enjoy portraiture and have undertaken commissions over the
years. Interiors also feature in my work, the more intricate the better!
