Brian studied Fine Art & Design at Brighton College of Art, where he learnt the craft of Etching under Raymond Cowern RA RE. He won a scholarship to continue his studies at the Royal College of Art.
He has work in private collections throughout the UK, the Middle East, Europe, Australia, United States and Japan.
He has exhibited in London at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition, the Mall Galleries, Rye Gallery, and has works
with Paddon Contemporary Art Gallery in Eastbourne.

Brian produced these paintings whilst a student at Brighton College of Art for his major project “History of Brightons Fishing Industry”.
Since then they have lain in a plan chest, until they were recently discovered after some 50 years. There has been so much interest in these pictures as a reminder of how Brighton has changed. Particularly since the demise of the West Pier.
