OPEN HOUSES FOR FIVE WEEKENDS IN MAY - MANY OF OUR HOUSES ARE OPEN UNTIL SUNDAY 31st May 2009.
AOH - Rottingdean and Downs Artists Open House Trail for May 2009, with 11 venues representing the work of about 100 artists.
During the Brighton Festival in May, the Rottingdean and Downs artists trail has 11 venues in Rottingdean, Roedean, Ovingdean, Rottingdean, Woodingdean and Falmer Villages. These include two churches, a school, a shop, a gallery and artists houses with a wide range of work on show. Many venues will be open Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays for the whole of May 2009. This trail has the advantage of very easy parking for all the houses, so there is no reason not to explore these venues. Combine your visit with a walk along the Undercliff, Downs or Falmer Pond and a meal in Rottingdean and make it a real day out. Also, many of the houses offer refreshments, Cakes, Drinks, etc. to keep you going. And some offer Music in the Garden!
